Big/Little Spotlight #1

Updated: Jun 1

We are so excited to introduce a new series on our blog: Big/Little Spotlights! These articles highlight the unique connections between bigs and littles in our chapter.

Big: Ashley German, MC ‘18

Little: Belle Lofye, MC ‘19

What is your favorite thing about your big/little?

Ashley: My favorite thing about Belle is how trustworthy she is. I can open up to her about anything!

Belle: I love how free my big is. That’s the best way I can think of describing all that I love about Ashley; she is independent, she is fun, she takes nothing from no one, and she is unapologetically herself always.

What’s your favorite memory with your big/little?

Ashley: All of our late-night Taco Bell visits!

Belle: My favorite memory with my big is our first trip to Gordon together. This is when I realized how alike we really are.

What has been the best/most valuable part of having a big/little?

Ashley: The most valuable part of having a little is having someone to cheer on and support.

Belle: I love how much my big cares about me. Coming to a new school and chapter as a transfer was overwhelming, but Ashley guided me through everything. Having her as my big has been invaluable.

What was your big/little reveal theme?

Belle was adopted by Ashley when she transferred, so they didn’t have a reveal but their family’s theme is wolf pack, which has been a tradition for multiple generations!

Which fictional relationship best describes your relationship and why?

Samantha and Carrie from Sex and the City! We are both super independent but would do anything for each other. No matter what we have going on in our lives, we always have each other’s backs.

Thank you to Ashley and Belle for sharing their special relationship with us! Look for another big/little spotlight coming soon.
