Recognizing our 2022 VP of Risk Management

Today we are also recognizing our 2022 Vice President of Risk Management, Kristen Povinelli. Kristin is a junior biology major from Illinois. From her term, she is most proud of the mental health awareness weeks that her and her team planned for both the spring and fall semesters. Kristin says "Mental Health is such an important topic to discuss among college students and I'm proud to be part of an organization that values the education and destigmatization of it. Throughout the week we raised awareness for Mental Health and did various self-care events like a Mental Health movie night, coffee cart and chats at the house, home-cooked meal by the executive board, wellness walk, and more. Being able to support our sisters with their mental health and educate them has by far been the most rewarding part of this position for me." We appreciate Kristin's dedication to the wellbeing of our sisters every day.

She says that from her time on exec, "I got to meet a lot of different chapter members at social events and got to know them on a more personal level through mental health programming." She also met some of her best friends through her position.

For the next VP of Risk, Kristin recommends not being afraid to be creative and make the position your own. In past years, risk management has been extremely focused on social events and bus loading, and while we love our social events, there is so much more that can be done with the position. The support that Kristin has given to our chapter this year is incredible, and it doesn't go unnoticed.

Thank you, Kristin Povinelli, for serving as our 2022 Vice President of Risk Management!
